Can the bank/lender keep my personal property that was in my car when it is repossessed?

Personal property in car

Almost everybody keeps some personal property in their vehicle. It could your glasses or sunglasses, a jacket or backpack.

When the bank/lender repossesses your car, truck or SUV they do not get to keep your stuff. You will have a limited time to pick up your personal property.

If you are behind on your payments, you should remove all of personal property from your vehicle.

It is always recommended that you hide your things, lock your car and take your keys when you park your car in public.
