1. Brush your teeth and floss – The American Dental Association recommends you brush twice a day for two minutes and floss once a day.

2. Make your bed – Start your day off by finishing something and doing it well will provide a small self-esteem boost.

3. Express gratitude – Your days go on much soother if you remind yourself you could have been born or living in a war torn country.

4. Dress slightly better than the occasion calls for – If everyone at work wears casual clothes, wear casual clothes with a jacket. Save your board shorts and flip flops for the beach.

5. Become uncomfortable at least once a day – Work up the courage to do something that makes you anxious, like speaking up in a meeting or saying hello to someone new.

6. Pay it forward – hold the door for someone regardless of age or gender, put a stray shopping cart into the cart corral, bring in neighbor’s trash can.

7. Try something new – Be it talking to a new person, taking a different route to work, or experimenting with a new recipe, do not let your curiosity and awe die in the daily grind.

8. Deal with clutter – Open your mail over the trash. Junk mail straight to the can, Bills remove all the extras and just keep the bill and envelope.

9. Walk more – Walk to work, take the stairs, park farther away from the store, get outside and walk on your break or lunch. The exercise will boost your energy, creativity and mood too.
